Tomorrow is Election Day. As you go to the polls, I hope I can count on your support in the important race for the Third Court of Appeals. This election will be close, and every vote will matter. But we have laid the groundwork for success with achievements like these:
- Bipartisan support, including crossover endorsements from three Republican former Texas Supreme Court justices, a Republican former Solicitor General of Texas, and many other Republican and independent attorneys, business leaders and community members
- Voted “best qualified” by nearly 2 to 1 in the State Bar of Texas Judicial Poll
- Endorsed by all 4 newspapers that made endorsements in this race
- Endorsed by the Texas Municipal Police Association and many sheriffs and prosecutors across the Court’s district
As hard as I’ve worked on this campaign over the last 23 months, I’m prepared to work even harder on the Third Court of Appeals, if given the privilege of serving.
For the Court to eliminate its notorious backlog, it is critical that this open seat be filled with someone experienced in the type of complex legal appeals that the Third Court decides. As the only board-certified appellate lawyer in this race, head of the appellate section at a major Texas law firm, and an adjunct professor of appellate advocacy at the University of Texas School of Law, I have the experience you can trust to get the job done.
Please vote on Tuesday (if you haven’t already), and let your friends and family know about our race. I would be honored to serve you on our Court of Appeals.
Best regards,
Kurt Kuhn for Justice
Third Court of Appeals
P.S. — Please join us Tuesday night at the historic Driskill Hotel in Austin for our election watch party starting at 7 p.m.
